Redwood has been recognized by industry associations and technology publications for its ability to make buildings smarter and more energy efficient.
Redwood Systems was a winner at the CIBSE Building Performance Awards 2013. The CIBSE Building Performance Awards 2013 recognise excellence in building performance, and the winners are selected based on actual, measured performance, not simply design intent or performance specifications.
Judges comments: “Redwood Systems lighting product caught the judges’ attention for its overall design, energy efficient application of lighting control and good performance data.”
Redwood Systems was selected as a 2012 Top Products Award winner by Building Operating Management (BOM) and is featured in their January issue. The BOM Top Products Awards are determined by building and facility executives who participated in a national survey and recognize the most popular manufacturers and suppliers of the year.
Redwood Systems won the prestigious NECA Showstopper Award (National Electrical Contractors Association). Judged by a panel of electrical contractors,Electrical Contractor magazine awards annual Showstoppers to recognize the most innovative products and systems featured at the NECA show.
Redwood Systems was named a "Platinum" winner by Architectural SSL's 2011 Product Innovation Awards (PIA). The PIA Awards determine and honor the best LED/solid-state luminaires and systems on the market.
Judges comments: “This approach has the potential of revolutionizing how SSL light sources, controls, and power supplies are integrated in architectural illumination. The reduction in fixture components, improved controllability, simplicity of wiring, and potential efficiency gains are intriguing…”
The Bloomberg New Energy Finance Pioneers program identifies companies from across the world that are making significant gains in the field of clean technology and innovation. A panel of industry experts, led by Bloomberg New Energy Finance technology specialists, chose Redwood based on three criteria: potential scale, innovation and momentum. "The panel chose Redwood Systems because we feel they have the potential to change the energy landscape in a very significant way," said Michael Liebreich, Summit chairman and head of Bloomberg New Energy Finance. "In this fast-evolving sector, Redwood Systems could play a major role in the world's transition to a lower carbon energy system."
Redwood Systems won a 2011 Edison Best New Products Award for its patent-pending Redwood Engine technology. The Edison Awards recognize innovation and excellence in the development, marketing and launch of new products and services, and this year’s edition honors those technologies that came to market in 2010.
Each year the IES Progress Committee recognizes significant product developments and improvements to the lighting industry through the IES Progress Report. In October, 2010, Redwood's intelligent LED lighting solution was selected in the lighting controls category.
Redwood Systems received the 2010 “Digie” (Digital Innovation) Award for Best Use of Technology in Energy for commercial real estate. The award is presented annually to the most ground-breaking companies by Realcomm, the world's leading research and educational institution focused on automated business solutions and intelligent buildings in commercial and corporate real estate.
