Redwood Systems’ building-performance lighting solutions facilitate lower cost, higher-performing workplaces. Redwood has developed the world’s only smart building platform that powers and controls lights and a high-density sensor grid providing both best-in-class energy savings and granular monitoring of space utilization, temperature and power consumption. This award-winning approach uses patented networking technology and a low-voltage DC architecture for high reliability and scalability as well as low cost installation.

The Redwood Building-Performance Platform
The Redwood Systems Building-Performance features the following hardware and software components:
The Redwood Engine provides centralized power, communications and control for up to 64 light fixtures. Multiple Engines can be clustered together and connected to the corporate network for simplified management.
The Redwood Gateways turn on, turn off and dim third-party fixtures. Available in two versions, one for LED fixtures and the other for traditional fixture types, the Redwood Gateways profile fixtures, receive data from sensors and transmit that data back to the Engine via low-voltage cable.
The Redwood Sensor detects light, temperature and motion. It communicates that information to the Redwood Gateways.
The Redwood Manager is a Web-based interface that is used to commission, control and report on lighting power usage, occupancy data, and environmental temperatures.
The Redwood Dimmer is an intelligent dimmer switch that fits into any standard wall box and includes embedded sensing capabilities.
